At the Geyer Road Baptist Church Youth Group, we seek to grow students from just following their parents’ faith to making it their own and expanding the Kingdom of God by loving, serving, and sharing. We want to see teenagers grow in five vital areas of their walk with Christ: worship, discipleship, fellowship, ministry, and evangelism. When students grow in those five areas, they will continue to grow in their mission to know God and make Him known.
Core Values
Worship – “But the hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such people to worship him.” (John 4:23)
Discipleship – “You therefore, beloved, knowing this beforehand, take care that you are not carried away with the error of lawless people and lose your own stability. But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be the glory both now and to the day of eternity. Amen.” (2 Peter 3:17-18)
Fellowship – “Now the full number of those who believed were of one heart and soul.” (Acts 4:32a)
Ministry – “For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another.” (Galatians 5:13)
Evangelism – “And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” (Matthew 28:18-20)
And Jesus increased in wisdom and in stature and in favor with God and man.
Luke 2:52
